Together with 100 guests flown in from the Netherlands and several friends living on the island, Cilla and Eric
experiencied the day of their dreams at Agroturismo Can Curreu close to San Carlos.
They met for the first time in June 2021 in Nijmegen where they both live. Cilla is the founder and ceo of Xplore Ibiza, a glossy magazine all about the white island and Eric had never been to Ibiza. This changed. During their first time together on the island, Eric proposed to Cilla on Acension Day while sailing around Es Vedra with friends.
Although many people these days choose to outsource the wedding arrangments, especially if you are getting married abroad, Cilla and Eric decided to do it themselves. Cilla and Eric having spent much of their time on the island for many years so they had many useful contacts and also know the most beautiful spots on the island.
So, they decided quickly on the location: Can Curreu, a beautiful venue where both the ceremony during the day and
the dinner and party in the evening could take place and also where some guests could stay overnight. What´s also nice is that there is a swimming pool, which the children present could enjoy swimming and playing while the adults toasted. Everything went exactly as planned and was a succession of beautiful moments, but the most beautiful moment was when Cilla arrived walking on her father´s arm and Eric saw her for the first time in her beautiful dress. WOW ! This was the bride´s moment walking the aisle accompanied by singer Renee Kouwenhouven and guitarist Matteo Crocetti who played the song ¨Hold my hand¨ by Lady Gaga.
Followed by the entrance of the colourful Nijmeegse Annie and the ceremony she then playfully performed was an out of the box experience I have never seen before on Ibiza., just like the rest of the day. Cutting the cake and toast by the pool, the party with DJ Ricardo and the amazing saxophonist LuGotti and all those prescious people who celebrated this beautiful day with the couple .
This wedding day was perfect and beyond expectations. I look back to this day with a big smile on my face.
